Taking a Break

Well, as you can see we haven't been blogging lately. We are all fine, the lady feels MUCH better, but we just haven't had anything to say. Busy, Busy, Busy for the upcoming summer. Boring, Boring, Boring around here.....

So we're going to take a break for a little while. We promise to come back, and we just know we'll be back in action before summer ends.

ARGHHHHHHHH!

No, the lady wasn't on Spring Break since March 13th! When she got home she got sick. Really sick, first Strep Throat, then the flu, two ear infections, and to top it all off the medicine upset her tummy. I am not allowed to tell you what it did to her tummy, but in us pups they call it the poopies (heh, wadda ya mean I wasn't supposed to say that?!) Everybody laughed cause she got sick with things kids usually get, ear infections and strep throat, she does act like a kid most days, so I guess she deserves to get kid illness.

So she is finally feeling better and I made her, MADE HER, get on to our blog and then she shouted ARGHHHHHHH! We have over 400 hundred posts to read, that deserves another ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! So we will be reading and soon actually posting. As you can imagine we have not been doing much with the lady so sick.

Keeping Me Away From His Food

Some chubby puppy really likes the new low fat food. He is so afraid I will try to eat it that he shoves his bowl under that Hoosier and then protects it with his pitty paws.

Then he licks every speck of food out of that bowl.

He is one crazy pup.

Then there was mud....

The ice melted and we were left with this......MUD.
Hey, can I come inside now?

What do you mean I have muddy paws, I do not!

Fine, I will just lay here and pout until you let me in.....

Hey, get that camera away from my paws!

Okay, maybe they were a little muddy.......

Way behind

Well, the lady is watching everything I do, my poop, my eating, my sleeping, my walking, she seems to be worried that I am still not feeling better. I keep telling her I am fine woman, leave me alone, and could you stop shoving those pills down my throat? No, darn it....

My blood work shows better, so that is some good news.

Now these pictures are really late, but Reilly got to encounter an ice day. He was begging not to have to go out.

Then he ventured further onto the deck.

Then finally he went and peed. It took forever!

Mr. Fancy Pants doesn't like getting his pitty pat paws cold. Next time we'll show you what it looked like when the ice melted.

Feeling Better and Back Home Again!

The lady finally busted me outta that darn vet hospital. Was I ever glad to get home. I ran right to my favorite sleeping place and took a nice long nap, without a stupid IV in my leg. I do feel better, no more bad poop, and I am eating again. I even like my special low fat diet, yum, that food is so good I snaarf it up so fast.

Reilly said he missed me, even though he got to go to Mischa's house every day to play.

Well, gotta go, Mom's got my treat ready for me, it's a snap pea, man I love those snap peas...

Hey, good terr-vibes to Bogart's dad Klaus, to Poppy for her throat and Snickers, we want the seizure monster to GO AWAY!

Pancreatitis

I've hijacked Murphey's blog to explain where we have been and why we haven't been blogging. Murphey had been acting lethargic, not eating too well, and he even attacked Reilly a few weeks ago. All this seemed unusual but the vet couldn't find anything wrong. Then he started really not eating, and when the vomiting and diarrhea started we rushed back to the vet and found out he had Pancreatitis. That required a few nights stay at the vet hospital and now he (and Reilly) are going to be on a low fat diet. The hope is that this is just a one time acute attack, but diet and monitoring will become a regular part of life around here. I just want my little guy to feel better soon.

Oh, and Reilly hates the food, but since I have a hard time keeping them out of each others bowls, the same food for both. Strangely enough, Mini Schnauzers that are over weight (Reilly) are more prone to pancreatitis so the diet is a good idea for him too.

We promise to catch up and start blogging again soon, but for right now I am too busy taking care of my sick pup.

Get it, GET IT!

Some nights when we are getting ready for sleepy time, something under the covers moves, and when it does it causes us to ATTACK!
Reilly goes crazy, as you will see from this video.
I mean the dude is a barking, scratching fool! I'm smart enough to do this:

I look under the covers to see what it is and it always turns out to be the same thing, the lady's legs!

Doesn't stop Reilly from trying to get 'em.

Car Rides

I love getting to go with the lady places, I really do. The only thing I don't like is long car rides. I don't like them because I get car sick. We were almost to Auntie's house and the lady moved us up to the front seat. Look how unhappy I am, and look how happy that fat head is behind me! He doesn't care that I feel like crap, in fact I think he was laughing at me. I would have given him a big old bite, but I felt too sick to do it.

Don't worry, the lady turned off the passenger side airbag and she had us in our doggie seat belts. Here I am really looking sick while Reilly is making fun of me.

Most of the ride Reilly does this, sleeps and snores.
See his big belly? The vet says fatty has to lose two pounds and you can really see it here.

For our last Christmas post, here is the photo the lady sent out with her cards, and maybe this is why we got a stick!

How Good We Were

We went to Auntie and Uncle's house for Christmas. We had a really good time and the lady made us promise to be good. And we were, really, we were! Except for when we jumped on company, then we got put in the bedroom. But other than that we were good, well, except for when we barked at the neighbor kids and tried to play bitey face with them. Or when I stole a whole ball of cheese and hid it in a chair to snack on later....one of the peeps found it when they sat down on it and felt a big old sticky mess. The peeps were happy I hadn't eaten the whole thing, something about trouble pooping I might have had if I had eaten it?! I say not my fault, don't leave it where I can get it. But that was it for the bad stuff, really. Umm, escept Reilly did pee on the carpet once, he insisted the carpet felt like grass, and he is sticking by his excuse.

We were perfect other than those things!

Yeah, just don't count the time that Reilly puked in the living room. The peeps shouted for the lady to come clean it up and when she got there Reilly hunched over and then pooped too! For his final offering he the peed in a big puddle right next to the puke and poop. That must have been Reilly's version of a Christmas gift, I don't think they appreciated it. We didn't take pictures, although I think it would have been a worthy Stain Award entry. We had just been out for a walk too, he was saving it up, and we found out he shouldn't eat people food.

But really, after that we were as good as two badly behaved dogs can be!

So we spent a lot of time here in the bedroom:

And I could hide on the rug on the bed cause I matched it perfectly.

You can see me better when my eyes are open.

But here was my favorite place, Auntie's lap.

New Year'e Eve Celebration

We interupt our regullaryly scheduled review of the Christmas Vacation (and Reilly's poop and puke fest) to say HAPPY NEW YEAR! Here was our favorite New Year's Party visitor, GRACE!!!!
(oh, her dad is kind of cool too, but I love Grace).

Don't panic, it was sparkling apple cider, we don't give champagne to small children!

Perhaps the real reason I love Grace so much is that I get whatever she doesn't want to eat AND she had a cool stuffed reindeer that I kept trying to sneak away from her. I never did succeed, she kept that stuffie gripped tight in her hand.

Happy New Year!
